WebCD Globe Customizing the WebCD Viewer License Agreement

WebCD Packager allows you to customize the WebCD Viewer license agreement so you can accommodate additions of executables or other items requiring a license to the WebCD. Place your license agreement in the file called license.txt (see paragraphs below for locations of this file). The text in this file is displayed below the MarketScape license agreement the first time the user views the WebCD. The user must agree to both MarketScape's and your license agreement prior to viewing the WebCD. The license customization can be made at the application level or at the project level.

Application Level License Customization

In the Setup folder located directly below the folder into which you installed WebCD Packager (e.g., c:\Program Files\MarketScape\WebCD Packager\Setup), you will find a blank license.txt file. Place application level license customizations into this file. Customizations made at this level will be inserted into each WebCD Packager project you create.

Project Level License Customization

To make customizations that affect only a single project, change only that projectÆs license.txt file, located in the Setup folder in the project directory (e.g., c:\Program Files\MarketScape\WebCD Packager\Projects\My Project\Setup). When you perform a build, this file is copied into the Image folder (or whichever folder you specify for the WebCD Viewer image), making it a permanent part of your WebCD master image.

Note The license agreement also contains complete copyright and trademark notices for MarketScape«, Microsoft (for use of Microsoft« Internet Explorer), Apple Computer, Inc. (for use of the QuickTimeTM Movie Player), and AdobeTM Systems Inc. (for use of the Acrobat Reader). This is a good place to add any additional notices that are required by your WebCD.
